Practicing Designing for Delight

Good design, when it’s done well, becomes invisible. It’s only when it’s done poorly that we notice it. Think of it like a room’s air conditioning. We only notice it when it’s too hot, too cold, making too much noise, or the unit is dripping on us. Yet, if the air conditioning is perfect, nobody say anything and we focus, instead, on the task at hand.

Transforming designs from good to great, delivering the most delightful experiences to  users.

Focusing design efforts on the "big" customer problems.

Moving away from the shiny new features that only make product's or service's more complex. I try to create products and services which change people’s lives.

It is important to rally support for delivering best-of-class products.

Corporate mission statements are too vague and buzzword ridden to design to. Putting customers in the center of the organization’s long-term product strategy, by broadening  research approach.

Guide smart decisions backed by solid data.

Come to a shared understanding of what makes long-lasting delight, informed by solid user research. Integrate a rich storytelling approach to communicating a solid vision across the organization.
